Currant is considered a plant antioxidant. Its fruits can be use in excretion and intestines. They are rich in betacarotene, biotin and vitamin E.
Black currant is a source of calcium, potassium, iron and manganese. It also contains carotenes that turn into vitamin A.
In folk healing, currant was used to remove water from the body. Consumption contributes to weight control, normal function of the respiratory system, normal blood glucose level and natural defenses.
Fruit pieces are frozen at first. Then the fruit is placed in the oven. From the consistency of ice, the water passes directly into the water vapor phase and the dried fruit retains not only its texture and aroma, but also the necessary vitamins and minerals which are lost in another drying method.
