Hericium erinaceus, also known as lion's mane mushroom or bearded tooth fungus, is an attractive mushroom resembling coral or long hair. This fungus primarily grows on old trees and dead wood, especially beech and oak. It features a light color, soft texture, and unique appearance, making it easily recognizable.
Hericium erinaceus is rich in various bioactive substances. It contains polysaccharides, especially beta-glucans, known for their presence in many types of mushrooms. Additionally, the mushroom includes various forms of terpenes, hericenones, and erinacines, which are specific to this species. These compounds contribute to its unique properties. The mushroom also contains essential amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, and is a source of minerals such as potassium, zinc, and iron. Furthermore, it includes antioxidants that help combat oxidative cell damage.
DOSAGE:
3 times a day 20 drops in water or tea.
Maximum safe dose: 4 - 6 times a day 80 - 100 drops.
